Privacy Policy

GharQO ("the platform", "we", "us") is a society management tool used by residential society committees to run a maintenance ledger and by residents to view a public dashboard for their society. This policy explains what information the platform collects, how it's used, and who can see it.

Who this applies to

• Society admins — committee members who sign up and manage their society's ledger.
• Residents — the people whose unit, contact, and dues information a committee enters.
• Visitors — anyone viewing a society's public dashboard, which needs no login.

What we collect

• Account data — name, email, and phone number for anyone who signs up as a society admin.
• Society data entered by committees — unit numbers, owner/resident names, contact numbers, maintenance fees, payment history, and expense records.
• Vendor data — names and phone numbers of maintenance contacts a committee chooses to publish.
• Basic usage data — standard web server logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) kept for security and troubleshooting.

We don't ask residents to create an account to view their society's dashboard, and we don't run third-party advertising trackers on the platform.

How it's used

Data entered by a committee is used solely to operate that society's ledger and to power its public dashboard, exactly as the committee configures it — for example, a committee can choose whether overdue units are shown by flat number only or by name as well. We don't use society data for advertising, and we don't sell it to anyone.

What's visible publicly

A society's public dashboard shows only what its committee chooses to make visible: aggregate financial figures (reserve fund, monthly expense, pending dues), notices, an emergency vendor directory, and — only if the committee turns it on — a list of units with overdue dues. It never shows a resident's payment history, phone number, or any data a committee hasn't opted to display.

Sharing

We don't sell personal data. We share it only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the platform (hosting, database, and email delivery), and only to the extent required to provide the service.

Cookies

The platform sets a session cookie so society admins stay logged in. That's the only cookie it sets today — there's no third-party analytics or advertising cookie.

Your choices

A society's committee controls its own data and can update or remove it from the admin console at any time. To request a correction or deletion of data, or to ask a question about this policy, contact hello@example.com.

Changes to this policy

As GharQO adds features, this policy may be updated. We'll change the "last updated" date above when that happens.
