Terms of Service

These terms cover use of GharQO by residential society committees ("society admins") and the residents and visitors who view a society's public dashboard. By signing up or using the platform, a society admin agrees to these terms on behalf of their society.

What GharQO is

GharQO is a free society maintenance ledger and public transparency dashboard. It's an early-stage product — features are added over time, and the platform is provided on an "as is" basis without uptime or accuracy guarantees. It isn't a bank, payment processor, or licensed financial institution; it records ledger entries but doesn't move money itself.

Committee responsibilities

• You confirm you're authorized to represent your society's committee when you sign up.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of unit, resident, billing, and expense data your committee enters.
• You're responsible for choosing what your society's public dashboard shows (e.g. whether defaulter names are displayed), and for that choice complying with your society's own by-laws and applicable law.
• You won't use the platform to publish false financial information or to harass or defame any resident.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to access another society's data, disrupt the platform, or use it for any unlawful purpose. Accounts found doing so may be suspended.

No warranty; limitation of liability

GharQO is provided without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for financial decisions made based on ledger figures shown on the platform, or for losses arising from downtime, data entry errors, or third-party service interruptions. Committees remain responsible for their society's official financial records.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms as the platform evolves; the "last updated" date above will change when we do. A committee can stop using GharQO at any time; contact hello@example.com to request account or data removal.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
